KRAV MAGA is a self defence system which anyone can learn. Created for the Israeli Defence Forces, it is now used by the army, police and civilians all over the world. It is taught to men, women and children of all ages.

Krav Maga teaches how to respond to everyday attacks using the body's natural reflexes. There are no complex moves or rituals. It is designed to be quick to learn, easy to remember and can be applied straight away.

How would you deal with being choked from behind, grabbed or attacked with a knife or stick ? Through Krav Maga you'll learn how to cope with these kinds of situations.

Potential Krav Maga Instructors must pass a full-time course which is examined by top instructors from around the world. This includes written exams and tests to ensure they can fight when tired and under stress, as well as coaching. Extensive training is given to the technical, physical and mental aspects of self-defence and hand-to-hand combat. Rigourous testing is given throughout the Program with a final test over several hours in the above mentioned aspects. A thorough examination is also undertaken on the coaching aspects of Krav Maga to ensure that the instructors who qualify can pass on the information in a safe, effective manner.

Steve Maycock passed this course in 2005. He has well over 30 yrs of experience in many combat systems, including Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Russian martial art, including a 3rd Dan in Ju-Jitsu amongst other qualifications and trained with some of the finest instructors throughout the world. In addition to training Krav Maga, Steve is also currently enhancing his experience and qualifications by training under world renowned martial artist and BAFTA award winning author Geoff Thompson(Geoffs autobiographical film is due for release in 2008 !)
